We learn to quickly weave baubles from ribbons, threads and beads

Baubles first appeared among the Indian tribes in North America. This accessory served not only as a decoration, but was also a protector from dark forces. Now they are worn by almost everyone. This beautiful attribute emphasizes the individuality of the owner, especially if made by yourself. Weaving does not take much time, and can be an exclusive gift for the second half, younger brother or sister.

Training

Material

If you have never woven bracelets, the simplest material is two ribbons. There are many technologies, but without experience, it is better to use those that are simpler. In addition to ribbons, you can take:

  • Thread floss.
  • Beads.
  • Skin.

Some craftsmen use any material that is at hand, if only it could be tied into a knot and pinned.

Workplace

At the first weaving, it will take more time, therefore it is better to clean the table, place the necessary tools on it and concentrate in order to remember everything and avoid mistakes.

There should not be anything superfluous in the workplace so as not to interfere or distract. From the tools you will need:

  • Needle.
  • Pin.
  • Material for weaving (floss thread, ribbons or beads).

The main types of nodes

Sometimes its own technology is used, but there are two basic options. And you need to start with them.

  • Right loop knot. The working thread is to the right of the nodular.
  • Left loop knot. The working thread is to the left of the nodular.

A knotted thread is that thread with which a knot is tied, and a working thread around which it is tied.

Knots that are tied with deuces

  • Straight knot. The process is similar to the previous one, only two consecutive ones are done at once instead of one node. The working thread should be on the left.
  • Return node. Very similar to a straight line, only the working thread is on the right.
  • Left tatting. The node is much more complicated than the previous ones. Use it when learning simpler techniques. In the starting position, the working thread is located on the left. First, we tie the left loop knot, while the working thread should go to the right. Using the right thread, we respectively make the right loop knot and repeat the process.
  • Right tatting. The same as the third node, only the thread is initially located on the right.

In words, it may seem that weaving baubles at home is a complicated process, in fact, everything is much simpler. You can even use various schemes that show how to cross the working and nodular threads.

Ribbon weaving for beginners

It will take two or four satin ribbons (depending on the method of weaving), a needle and a pin. Tapes should be meter.

For beginners, I recommend using ribbons, because they are wider. The working and nodular thread is more clearly visible, an understanding appears where to tie the knot and why.

Training option for beginners

  1. We put two ribbons on top of each other, bend it by fifteen centimeters and lay on top. Something similar to two knots should turn out. For convenience, you can use a pin to secure the result.
  2. We bend the upper loop on the other side, as if an ordinary knot was tied.
  3. Fully bend around the bottom ribbon to return to its original position, but now the buttonhole will be smaller.
  4. Through the loop you need to stick a working tape (which remained free all the time).
  5. Pull the end of the small loop, only slowly and carefully. The knot should not be tight.
  6. Make another loop and thread it through the bend that remains.
  7. The long edge must be tightened and secured the second loop. If necessary, you can tighten the ends so that the pattern is uniform. If a semblance of a small square is visible, the work is done correctly.
  8. It remains only to continue repeating steps 1-7 until the thread runs out. The finished bauble can be fastened with something and worn on the arm.

Ribbon Round Bracelet

In this case, the Chinese node, which is called the "lotus", is used. Weaving will take about an hour of free time, so it’s better not to be distracted in order to get a beautiful result the first time.

You will need:

  • Ribbons of two colors, two and two and a half meters. Or four tapes of one and a half meters (different colors).
  • Safety pin.

Step-by-step plan:

  1. Let's analyze the option for two tapes. Make a cross, fix the middle with a pin. Moreover, there will be a light ribbon on top, and a dark ribbon below (for a more illustrative example).
  2. We take the ribbon that lies below, from it we make the shape of the arch to the left. The lines should be parallel to each other, otherwise the bauble will turn out to be a curve.
  3. We do the same with a light ribbon, only the arch will be perpendicular to the dark ribbon.
  4. Now the right end of the dark basma, the one that goes below the center, is bent like an arch to the right, only it should be turned upside down.
  5. We do the same with the light ribbon, which should be bent at about the place where the second arch ends.
  6. We tighten the knots at first slightly (the pattern is obtained in the form of a square), then the main material needs to be fixed with effort. To do this, we pull it again (the picture should resemble a crumpled lump).
  7. Repeat steps 1-6 to the very end.

Features:

  • Working with tapes is simple, but a beginner should use a pin as often as possible to secure the result.
  • This is convenient in cases where you need to move somewhere and do not want the nodules to relax and become ugly.
  • Basically, the pattern of ribbons initially looks like a small square, hence the name came from - the square way of weaving.

How to weave baubles from beads

Beading is more complicated than the previous method, it will take more time to learn the basics, but the result is worth it.

You will need:

  • Beads (should be of high quality, one size).
  • A fishing line made from lavsan or kapron should be strong.
  • Clasp (if necessary).

Weaving methods and detailed description

Professionals use a machine on which fishing lines are stretched and fixed opposite to speed up the beadwork process. A similar design can be made by yourself, but we will analyze simpler and less costly methods.

Pigtail weaving

You will need:

  • Colorful beads.
  • Clasp for the bracelet.
  • 3 fishing lines of the same length (70 cm - ideal).

Execution Sequence:

  1. A piece of fishing line is folded in half and secured into the ring of the clasp.
  2. For all 3 fishing lines we gain the same length of beads (about 35 cm).
  3. The ends of the lines of fishing line are fixed on the second ring of the clasp.
  4. It turned out 3 rows of fishing line: upper, middle and lower. The top row is imposed on top of the middle.
  5. Then we impose the bottom row on top of the top.
  6. The top row is imposed on top of the bottom.
  7. Repeat the procedure 4-6 times until the bracelet is ready.

If you increase the length of the fishing line, you can get not only bracelets, but also jewelry on the neck. If you have imagination, you can add gems by making small holes in them so that you can string it on a fishing line.

Cross Weaving

You will need:

  • Beads.
  • Dacron thread.
  • Two needles.
  • Clasp.
  • Weaving pattern (final pattern).

How to weave:

  1. We measure the girth of the wrist. Cut one meter from the thread or fishing line. Thread both ends into the eye of the needle.
  2. One of the needles needs to be worn with a half fastener and one bead. The second needle goes into the same beads.
  3. Gradually thread one bead on each side.
  4. In the next thread we again thread both needles, and then tighten. It should be a cross.
  5. Again we perform 3 and 4 points.
  6. Continue the action until we finish the bracelet.

It is worth noting that there are different variations of weaving. In our case, the bracelet will turn out to be very thin, but it can be expanded if the steps are slightly changed.

Popular schemes

They like to use beads for weaving baubles for the fact that you can bring out a pattern of any complexity. The pattern itself is called a pattern. Most often, cross-stitching is used, but in some cases the methods differ.

Popular patterns:

  • Weaving (weaving of beads of different colors, looks very beautiful).
  • Pattern with various animal faces.
  • Lettering. If you write something non-standard, you have to create a scheme yourself or ask an experienced master to do it.
  • Hearts. The simplest element with a pattern.

The list of schemes goes on and on. The procedure is somewhat reminiscent of knitting, but with a slight difference.

Baubles from beads with names and titles.

Weaving a personalized bauble in the form of a gift is a great idea. Some even create logos for your favorite bands or movie titles. The only limitation is the imagination of the needlewoman.

To weave a bauble of beads with a name or a name, two methods are used:

  1. Machine. It will take a lot of time, and you need to have a machine, or make it from improvised materials.
  2. When weaving a cross. The method is suitable for beginners.

In the first case, standard printed letter patterns are used, in the second you have to work on your own using a notebook sheet. One cell - one bead.

You can take only two colors, one for the background material, the other for letters. With logos it’s more difficult, because making a diagram is not easy.

Mouline thread baubles

To begin, fasten the threads in one of the ways:

  • Using a stationery clip.
  • The threads are tied into a knot and secured with a pin.
  • The threads are attached to the surface of the table with tape.
  • Using a tablet and ruler.

Weaving is a painstaking task, requiring perseverance, but the most economical, because the only material that is required is thread.

Ways to Beginners

First you need to decide on the nodes with which you will create a masterpiece. This item is similar to that described in weaving from ribbons, the right and left loop nodes are also distinguished.

Oblique weaving

You will need:12 threads of 6 colors. Moreover, the same colors should be located symmetrically to each other (that is, the extreme ones are always the same). Acceptable length from 0.8 to 1 meter.

Sequence:

  1. Threads 1 and 2 intertwine, forming a "four". The end of the first thread is threaded into the resulting window, eventually a knot should appear.
  2. The procedure is repeated, two nodes should be obtained.
  3. Now a similar process should happen with threads 11 and 12, then 3 and 4, 10 and 9, etc.
  4. After that, knots on the original threads are tied.
  5. All items are repeated anew.

It is better to fasten the obtained bauble with an additional knot so as not to melt.

Direct weaving

More difficult than the previous method, and the picture is unique, and not in the form of a Christmas tree. Weaving patterns are also more complicated, but the result will be more spectacular.

It is necessary to distinguish between threads that will be background and those that will serve to outline the picture. The easiest way to use two colors.

The schemes depend on the pattern, so before use, find the desired pattern, calculate the number of threads that will be needed for it and select the colors.

Useful Tips

  1. If the knot turned out to be wrong, slowly and gently untangle it.
  2. Sometimes the pattern at the end is unlike the initial. Do not be upset, because every failure is followed by a victory.
  3. If you are a beginner needleworker, use simpler methods first.
  4. Do not be afraid to experiment with circuits, you can always add something unusual to them.
  5. If the desired result is an inscription, do not make it long, otherwise the bracelet will turn out more than it should.

Weaving baubles is an interesting and productive activity that can be learned in a short time. It trains fine motor skills, perseverance, enriches imagination. But mastering the method will require patience and a willingness to correct errors. Fenichka will be a great gift for a girlfriend or boyfriend, for a couple in love, because it is original and cute.
